Even Santa Claus is in for a few surprises this St. Nicholas Day: with funny verses and cute Santa socks made from Emmentaler AOP and cranberries. They’re an eye-catcher on any apéritif table and add a little extra enjoyment to Advent. The perfect way to make St. Nicholas Day even more festive!
Decorate the handle of a wooden chopping board with a pretty fabric bow. Cut a thick slice of Emmentaler AOP cheese into the shape of a sock.
Place the sock on the board and decorate its borders with halved cranberries. For the cuff of the sock, use three rows of pine nuts.
Cut out stars from a red pepper and the rest of the Emmentaler AOP cheese and arrange them on the wooden chopping board. Little sprigs of rosemary serve as a festive decoration and smell wonderful – they might even tempt Santa Claus to pay a visit!
