A feast for the senses to mark this celebration of love: a crispy puff pastry Christmas tree on a bed of fragrant rosemary, decorated with stars made from colourful peppers and Emmentaler AOP cheese. This eye-catching Christmas cheese board is guaranteed to bring a festive atmosphere to the table and set the tone for Christmas!
Cover the base of a wooden board or a bowl with sprigs of rosemary. Cut out a Christmas tree from a sheet of puff pastry, brush it with a layer of egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top before baking it in the oven until it turns a nice golden brown. Leave it to cool and then place it on the bed of rosemary.
Cut out stars from red and yellow peppers to lay on top of the Christmas tree and the rosemary. Slice some mini cucumbers and place them on the Christmas tree as baubles.
Cut stars out of a thick slice of Emmentaler AOP cheese. The best way to do this is to use a cookie cutter or cut out the stars with a knife. All that’s missing now is a rousing rendition of a Christmas favourite: O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, your branches green delight us… Merry Christmas!
