Last week, Emmentaler Switzerland launched Emmentaler AOC with Gecko Technology. It was a very exotic-sounding innovation yet one which was incredibly simple: Cows are stressed by pesky flies, and this means that the milk that they produce is not of ideal quality. This is why we decided to put a gecko on the cows to eat the flies, with the result being that we are able to produce even smoother cheese.

The viral ad that we produced was released in a whole host of languages and countries and was downloaded thousands of times, with viewers obviously finding the new technology highly innovative. And yet at the end of the day we could only conclude that Emmentaler AOC simply cannot be improved on, which is why we are going to keep it exactly how it always has been.
